Santa Monica is an arts and culture hub, home to 170+ street art murals all within its 8.3 square miles and eight neighborhoods. The Santa Monica Pier Area/Ocean Ave neighborhood is one of the most visited areas where you can find the iconic Santa Monica Pier, Ocean Front Walk, the Marvin Braude Bike Trail and the Original Muscle Beach and other attractions such as Pacific Park, the Santa Monica Pier Aquarium, Looff Hippodrome and more.

Heal the Bay Aquarium, 1600 Ocean Front Walk
The late muralist David Legaspi completed this mural in celebration of Earth Day in 2007. Santa Monica Pier Aquarium staff said how Legaspi made the mural a community effort, encouraging any and everyone to grab “a paintbrush to help populate the underwater world he’d created.”
