It’s June and PRIDE month has officially kicked-off at the Fairmont Miramar Hotel & Bungalows in Santa Monica, California with several vibrant festivities. Plan a visit to witness the colorful multi-textural, floral-based installation, “Pride-a-Blooma” (created by local LGBTQ+ artist, Tim Devlin) located right outside of FIG restaurant for the entire month. The Miramar will also light up its iconic 150-year-old, Moreton Bay Fig Tree in PRIDE colors every evening throughout the month of June! Enjoy the color-changing, PRIDE themed “Purple Rain” cocktail, made with curated vodka, lime, Peach Schnapps, and ginger beer. A portion of the proceeds from each cocktail sold throughout the month of June will be donated to Liberty Hill, a foundation which has supported community-based organizing by LGBTQ leaders throughout their history. Pride Proclamation

The City’s PRIDE Proclamation is written and presented in person by celebrated author, two-time Lambda Award finalist and professor at Santa Monica College, Myriam Gurba. The proclamation serves as a powerful declaration of the city’s support for the LGBTQ+ community, its commitment to promoting equality and inclusion, and its dedication to creating a safe and welcoming environment for all individuals. This is not your grandma’s BINGO! (although she is very welcome to join). Get ready for a night of glamour, laughter, food, prizes and charitable giving at Drag Bingo! This can’t-miss event, located on the fabulous back patio of Solidarity, will feature the iconic Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence, who will run the bingo game and bring their signature raucous humor and joy to what will no doubt a very memorable evening of socializing and friendly competition – and all for a great cause! Ticket purchase of $20 gets you set up for 10 games, additional cards can be purchased on-site the day of the event and Solidarity will be putting out a lovely spread of food for all to enjoy.

PRIDE Sunset Swim is for the LGBTQ+ community and allies! Enjoy a queer, safe, accessible, judgment-free space for every, and all bodies, with fabulous pool floats and sweet and salty snacks, at the historic Beach House pool. Sounds of Santa Monica: Pride Edition

Santa Monica Place presents the inaugural Sounds of Santa Monica: Pride Edition as an extension of the brand-new Sounds of Santa Monica live music series. Families will groove to the beats of live musical entertainment by LGBTQ+ performers in Center Plaza while the Santa Monica Place Kid Zone offers kid-friendly Pride programming and activities, creating an educational and entertaining space for children to play and learn about inclusivity and acceptance.
Pride on the Promenade

This lively Pride on the Promenade festival spans across Third Street Promenade and celebrates the LGBTQIA+ community and promotes inclusivity and acceptance in Santa Monica. All ages are welcome to enjoy musical performances, Pride-themed treats, free swag, informational booths, games and much more. Families can also venture to Santa Monica Place, where they can explore the kid-friendly Pride programming and activities exclusively at the Kid Zone, offering an educational and entertaining space for children to play and learn about inclusivity and acceptance.
