Written and performed by British-born Aisha Kumari (A Midsummer Night’s Dream; Fighting for her Family; Domestic Crusaders; Waffle the Wonder Dog; East is East), Treya’s Last Dance is a rollercoaster ride through the life, love and cultural struggles of Treya. The show is a superb addition to the growing roster of diaspora-related stories like Wedding Season, Indian Matchmaking. During Treya’s clumsy quest to find a ‘life-partner,’she stumbles upon something far more important: a reckoning with a recent and shocking tragedy.
