Ride with the Mayor

This month, Ride with Mayor is going multi-modal with two great options and a HandleBar Happy Hour #HBHHnat Lunetta All Day – Everyone Welcome!
Mark your calendars for March 29th, 5:30pm, then choose your mode.
• Ride with the Mayor from Santa Monica City Hall
• Walk with Mayor Pro Tem from Ishihara Park
Both events will end at Lunetta All Day for a social gathering and our March Bike Local HandleBar Happy Hour to celebrate Meatless in March–the effort to raise awareness and grow the movement toward plant-rich foods and the many healthy, environmentally sustainable and delicious plant based food options. Join Mayor Ted Winterer, Mayor Pro Tempore Gleam Davis, City of Santa Monica and all our community partners: Santa Monica Spoke, Adopt-A-Walk, Buy Local Santa Monica, and the Santa Monica Safe Streets Alliance for another 3x’s the FUN CELEBRATION!
Bike Ride: Meet 5:15pm in front of Santa Monica City Hall. Bring your own bike, helmet, lock & water bottle. Family friendly – however children should be capable of street riding or in an appropriate child seat or trailer. This months ride is approximate 3 miles.
No bike? No problem! Just grab a Breeze Bike Share!
Walk: Meet 5:15pm at Ishihara Park at the corner of Stewart and Exposition. All you need are good walking shoes and your water bottle. The walk will be a 1-mile exploration through the Pico Neighborhood with the Mayor Pro Tem Gleam Davis. Return route to Ishihara is .6 miles.
Dogs, children and strollers are ALL WELCOME!

Meet your community and neighbors in a fun social atmosphere – we’ll share our enthusiasm for active transportation, everyone is welcome, regardless of travel mode.
About the Mayor’s Ride:
Biking (AND WALKING) is better with friends! That’s why the Mayor started this free monthly community event in January 2017. This month we mix it up again for those who are not cyclists and to get a different perspective. Come meet the Mayor, Mayor Pro Tempore, City staff, and your neighbors while enjoying the Santa Monica sunshine on a lovely bike ride or walk followed by a social gathering at Lunetta!
