“Musical Chairs” at Santa Monica Playhouse (Thursday Showing)
This event has expired. Please visit the Events Calendar for current listings.
From losing one’s seat to losing one’s love, four travelers tumble through a serio-comic kaleidoscope of styles and genres, encountering clowns and colloquists, poets and princes, as they make a desperate play for survival in the musical chairs of life. But is the last one standing really the winner? An interactive play about loving and losing, searching and surviving, and what it really means to win, inspired by the works of Magritte and Eugene Ionesco, presented in the Playhouse’s signature Kommedia-Kabuki physical theatre style.
