Ken Dapper Photography’s Premier Gallery Show

Los Angeles, CA. Ken Dapper, fine art landscape photographer has officially launched his new gallery website featuring photography of California beaches, the wide-open west, and select prints for purchase.

As a child, Dapper was first introduced to the craft of photography and developing film from his stepfather. He quickly fell in love with the art form and by age 9, he never went anywhere without his camera. In the same year, he had the opportunity to travel to New Caledonia in the South Pacific. During his travels, Dapper began to experiment with landscape photography as a means to capture the profound sensation of expansiveness he experienced.

After graduating from San Diego State University with a degree in Speech Communication, Ken moved to Los Angeles and start his career in front of the camera as a model and actor. His new found appreciation of acting led him to New York City where he worked regularly for Conde Naste (GQ, Conde Naste Traveler, Vanity Fair), and other large brands like Outside Magazine, AT&T, Lexus, and Holland Cruise America among others. As his world continued to expand in New York and beyond, Dapper began to rediscover his love of photography and slowly started to once again capture his own perspective of that growth.

Now back to his roots of Southern California, Dapper explores the world through his camera lens. The subject matter of his work is varied by nature but maintains a theme of depth and emotion. From God’s country up in Alaska to Monument Vallery in Utah to The Grand Canyon in Arizona, or to The Santa Monica Pier, his work is inspirational and moving. Dapper covers action packed cities like New York and the Southern California beach culture of Los Angeles. Ken Dapper’s unique perspective showcases an emotional approach to fine art landscape photography that inspires a sense of limitless potential inside of its viewer. You are invited to Ken’s first official gallery show at The Santa Monica Pier 360 Beach Festival, Saturday, June 24th (9 AM – 7 PM) and Sunday, June 25th (7 AM – 4 PM). This annual event is free to the public and is a great place to get acquainted with the beach culture that Ken calls home.
