This event has expired. Please visit the Events Calendar for current listings.
Opening reception: July 22, 2023, from 3-7 p.m.
Brian Ohara is a visionary fine artist born with an innate fascination for words. As the son of an NSA cryptographer, Brian’s connection to codes and patterns run deep within his lineage. His ability to channel the transmission of language into art creates modern glyphs elegantly rendering words in stylized repetitive patterns. From his earliest days, he found himself drawn to mirror writing, a unique practice that would unknowingly foreshadow his future path. It wasn’t until adulthood that Brian’s diagnosis of Dyslexia shed light on this remarkable way to channel his experiences into art.
Deeply connected to his spirituality, Brian’s artistic journey is guided by a profound sense of purpose. Through his art, Brian explores the human spirit, transcends the material world, and touches the very essence of our existence.
“GLYPH” showcases Brian’s unique artistic vision, inviting viewers to decipher and appreciate his interpretation of words. These enigmatic “Glyphs” offer a fresh perspective on the world and encourage a deeper appreciation for the power of art.
