The Grammy award-winning jazz vocalist, Diane Schuur celebrates her 70th birthday with “An Evening of Songs and Stories”. This unforgettable night includes songs spanning Diane’s decades-long career, accompanied by stories of some of the music titans has shared the stage with, including B.B. King, Stevie Wonder, Ray Charles, Frank Sinatra, the Count Basie Orchestra, and others.
Nicknamed “Deedles” as a child, Diane is an accomplished pianist with perfect pitch and a three-and-a-half-octave vocal range. Blind from birth, Diane initially taught herself piano by ear and grew up steeped in traditional American jazz. Diane developed her own rich, resonant, vocal style at a very young age and has created a distinguished recording career spanning over three decades, including two Grammy awards and three additional GRAMMY® nominations, Schuur’s music has explored almost every corner of the American musical landscape.
Join us on March 9th as we celebrate her monumental achievements with a night of songs and stories.
