As we stand at the crossroads of life and begin to gather as an audience once again, do we look to the past, or towards a better tomorrow? Performed in a state-of-the-art shipping container, Birds in the Moon searches for answers to this question. As they embark on a journey towards prosperity and hope, the Bird-Mother protects her young daughter from the insatiable Ringmaster and other menacing forces, threatening to derail their journey. Her urgency and hope are expressed through live performance, soundscapes and video projections, as the themes of freedom, borders and belonging are explored.
