Arts and Literacy Festival

The theme for the 2024 Arts & Literacy Festival is “ROBOTOS”! At the Festival, families with young children will enjoy engaging arts workshops, performances, book readings, and a robot costume parade as well interactive activities presented by dozens of early childhood service providers. There will also be performances by Santa Monica Ballet Folklorico and many more. The Arts & Literacy Festival promotes the Santa Monica Cradle to Career Building Blocks for Kindergarten campaign. This event is presented by the City of Santa Monica’s Virginia Avenue Park, Santa Monica Public Library, Santa Monica Malibu Unified School District-Child Development Services, and Venice Family Clinic.
